3 simple words...

boys are confusing.

(boys, guys, men...how about the entire male race?)

Ahh, yes. Here am I, 58 years old, seven brothers, one lover that fathered my eldest child, then got lost, a husband whom I'm still married to after 34 years, yet estranged from, whom I might also add, fathered two daughters by another woman after we had already had two daughters of our own, later. Agreeing with you that boys are confusing. Then they grow up into men, who (sometimes) don't have any more of a clue as to how they should be "MEN", than they had as little boys! My mother, try though she did, having seven sons, told them, with-in my hearing, to "honor" women. Not to "play games" with their girlfriends. Don't ask them (their girlfriends) to do anything that they weren't prepared to do willingly. Over and over again, she said the same things.
Our own father had died when my youngest brother was only three years old, and our oldest sister, was 18. So, mom raised us mostly on her own.
My brothers are, all but one, still married to their first wives. Yet, we three sisters are either, unhappily married, one to the same husband, twice. One divorced, but remained unmarried, and I, separated, and unable to comprehend why this man didn't love me as much as I loved him, and tried to show him my loyalty?
So yes, glory be to GOD who has allowed me to live long enough to know that: boys ARE not only confusing, but can be totally confused, and in need of a strong supportive woman, to help them navigate this "hard to understand" journey that they'll undertake on the path to manhood. As much as there needs to be GOD in their lives, and purpose.
There needs to be a "level headed woman" who only wants the best for them, above all else, in their lives, then maybe, just maybe, they'll begin to see that this one man, one woman thingy, makes perfect sense.
